EDC Systems QLD supported a long-standing client following a small fire that caused significant damage to electrical and communications infrastructure within a laboratory.
Working alongside emergency services, the EDC team identified and isolated electrical hazards to support safe access to the affected area. Following the incident, EDC remained on site to assist with the recovery works, including electrical isolation and make-safe activities, infrastructure removal, temporary power and lighting, site investigations and reporting.
Following the successful recovery phase, EDC Systems QLD was engaged to complete the new laboratory fitout. The works included power, lighting, emergency lighting, AV cabling, Cat 6 data cabling, fibre optic infrastructure and temperature monitoring cabling.
The project brought together multiple areas of EDC’s capability, from the initial response and remediation support through to the reinstatement and fitout of the laboratory’s electrical and communications infrastructure.
